QUALIFICATIONS
Any person who wishes to be a member shall have
the following qualifications:
1. Must be
a Muslim youth having an age of at least 12 years old possessing a good moral character;
2. Must not be engaged in any form of vice or
is willing to leave it upon entering the Association;
3. Must
have an interest in peace-building
among communities; and
4. Must be committed to perform his/her duties in
the Association.
Qualified member
shall submit a filled-out Membership Form to be issued by the Chapter Officers
and shall pay a Registration Fee to the Minister of Treasury and Finance of the Chapter.
Classifications
of Membership
Members shall be classified into following:
Associate Membership – It is
conferred upon a person who is first time to register as member of the
Association and shall expire after one (1) year from the date of registration.
Honorary Membership – It is a special type of membership conferred
upon a person who may not qualify under Section 1 of this Article, but who has
rendered distinguished service to the Association contributing to the promotion
of the advocacy of the Association. Conferment shall be endorsed by the chapter
Chief Minister or coordinator in case of a newly-established chapter to be
approved by the Board of Trustees.
Provided, however, that Honorary Membership shall expire after one year of conferment. Advancement
to Regular Membership may be conferred within that one year or even shorter
without undergoing the regular process depending on the significance of the
contribution of the honorary member based on the Board of Trustees’ judgment.
Regular Membership – It is
conferred upon a person who has served as Associate Member and passed all the
requirements set by the Board of Trustees and shall be renewable every year
prior to conferment of perpetual membership.
Perpetual Membership – It is conferred upon a person who has served
for at least four (4) years as Regular Member, reached an age of twenty one
(21) and passed all the requirements set by the Board of Trustees.
